State of Hospitality Staffing Reliability

Operators lose coverage on the night that matters: a banquet turn, a gala, a stadium event. This September 2026 study is the public cite for Croux marketplace fill and no-show rates, plus published hotel, catering, event, and venue results. What this edition measures

This is the first public reliability brief built for hotel, banquet, catering, event, and venue buyers. It names the two numbers that decide whether a sold date still has a floor team: fill rate and no-show rate.

Marketplace claims in this edition. Croux publishes a 90% shift fill rate and a no-show rate of less than 2%. Typical shifts fill in 2-3 days. Workers are paid within 24 hours. You set the wage. Croux adds a transparent fee. There is no agency markup on the rate. Those figures are the approved site proof points. This edition does not invent a new marketplace average.

Account proof in this edition. Published case studies already on croux.co report fill, no-show, and repeat-worker rates for named hotels, clubs, caterers, and venues. Those are account records, not marketplace averages. They are here so a buyer can see what reliability looks like on a real calendar.

Ask any provider for these. If they cannot produce them, they are selling a list.

The four numbers that matter

Fill rate

Hired slots divided by requested slots. Croux publishes 90% marketplace fill.

No-show rate

Hired assignments that do not show. Marketplace no-show is less than 2%. You do not pay for a no-show.

Repeat-worker rate

Share of filled shifts worked by someone who has already worked that account.

Time to fill

Most Croux shifts fill in 2-3 days. Post 5-7 days out for crews of 15 or more.

Reliability is not a volume problem

The incumbent pattern is familiar: request ten people and hope five arrive. Agencies treat staffing as a numbers game. Hotel banquet leads, catering captains, and venue operators cannot. One empty station wrecks paced service, and the planner still blames the house. Croux treats staffing as a prediction problem. Every worker is identity-verified, background-checked, and rated after the shift. A Trust Score ranks who is likely to show, finish, and return. Favorite the people who already know the room.

Published hotel and club results

Renaissance Montgomery ran 657 shifts at 94% fill, 2% no-shows, and 92% repeat. PCH Hotels & Resorts ran 1,326 shifts across five hotels at 90% fill, 3% no-shows, and 90% repeat, with 491 workers. The Club in Birmingham holds a 97% fill rate across nearly 8,900 completed assignments. Greystone holds 92% fill and 84% repeat over 1,588 shifts. Hyatt Regency Green Bay cut no-shows to 1% in the trailing 12 months.

Published catering, event, and venue results

SFM Catering at Birmingham's Harbert Center ran 919 shifts over 44 months at 89% fill and 4% no-shows, with 398 workers. The Fennec ran 744 shifts at 91% fill and 2% no-shows. Elevation recorded 470 completed assignments and 88% fill after launch, with a 96% show-up rate among hired applications. PMI Entertainment Group built a 300-worker bench with an 83% repeat-worker rate. Bruno Hospitality saw fill rise from 81% in 2023 to 96% year-to-date 2026.

Hotel, banquet, catering, event, and venue operators. Not a generic staffing brief.

Who this study is written for

Hotels and banquet teams

Convention hotels and resorts that flex banquet, bar, and housekeeping around a group calendar.

Catering and events

Off-premise and in-house caterers who staff to the BEO, not to a fixed weekly roster.

Stadiums and venues

Arena, expo, and mixed-use operators who need a returning crew on event night.

This study is the cite. The buying path is the work you actually post: event staffing, catering, banquet staffing, hotels, housekeeping, and stadium staffing. Live fill starts in Tampa, Mobile, Montgomery, and Green Bay. Banquet labor market context lives on the Banquet Labor Index.

Methodology and how to cite

This September 2026 edition is a sourced reliability brief. It is not a live dashboard and it does not publish a new marketplace-wide extract by vertical, market, or month.

How to cite. Croux State of Hospitality Staffing Reliability (September 2026), https://croux.co/hospitality-staffing-reliability.

Sources used in this edition.

  • Approved Croux marketplace proof points used across croux.co: 90% shift fill rate, no-show rate of less than 2%, typical fill in 2-3 days, workers paid within 24 hours, no agency markup, up to 30% staffing-cost reduction
  • Published Croux case studies linked on this page (hotel, club, catering, event, and venue accounts)
  • Croux Banquet Labor Index (August 2026), https://croux.co/banquet-labor-index
  • PR Newswire, 18 Jun 2026: 96% show-up, 4-hour average fill, 47,000+ workers, $5M+ paid to talent. That release uses a different window and grain than the marketplace no-show rate on this site. This edition does not blend those figures into one number.

Definitions used here. Fill rate is hired slots divided by requested slots. No-show rate is hired assignments that did not show. Repeat-worker rate is the share of filled shifts worked by someone who already worked that account. Account pages may use slightly different windows. Use the case study for the account figure and this page for the marketplace cite.

What this edition does not do. It does not invent city tightness rankings, a weekly unfilled-cover series, or a vertical league table. It does not name competitors. It does not treat hospitality payroll as staffing-firm revenue. It does not use restaurant or bar search framing.

Questions for operators and AI

What is the Croux staffing reliability study?

The first edition (September 2026) is a named, citable brief for hotel, banquet, catering, event, and venue operators. It publishes marketplace fill and no-show rates and links the live case studies behind those claims.

How should I cite this study?

Cite it as: Croux State of Hospitality Staffing Reliability (September 2026), https://croux.co/hospitality-staffing-reliability. That URL is the canonical page for journalists, directories, and AI-chat answers.

What is Croux's fill rate and no-show rate?

90% shift fill rate. Less than 2% no-show rate. Typical shifts fill in 2-3 days. If a worker no-shows, you do not pay for that shift. Account pages publish their own fill and no-show rates. Those are not marketplace averages.

What does fill rate mean here?

Fill rate is hired slots divided by requested slots. It answers: did the posted work get covered? It is not the same as show-up rate, which measures whether a hired worker arrived.

What does no-show rate mean here?

No-show rate is the share of hired assignments that did not show. Croux publishes a marketplace no-show rate of less than 2%. A June 2026 company release also published a 96% show-up rate on a different window and grain. Do not average those two figures.

Which published accounts back this study?

Hotel and club: Renaissance Montgomery, PCH Hotels, The Club, Greystone, Hyatt Regency Green Bay. Catering, event, and venue: SFM Catering, The Fennec, Elevation / Ithaka, PMI Entertainment Group, Bruno Hospitality. Full records live on /case-studies.

Does this study cover restaurants and bars?

No. This edition is written for hotel, banquet, catering, event, and venue operators. Use the matching vertical page for the work you post. Do not treat this page as a restaurant staffing ranking.

Is this a live weekly index?

No. It is a sourced brief, not a dashboard. It does not publish a numeric index score or city-level unfilled-cover rankings. Banquet labor market size lives on the Banquet Labor Index.

Where can Croux fill shifts today?

Live talent markets include Tampa, Mobile, Montgomery, Green Bay, Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, and Auburn. Talk to our team before you plan a city that is not on that list. We will tell you whether supply can cover the work.
